For those who are looking for a challenge, this internship is designed for students to learn, gain experience and widen their perspective of working in the outdoors  - a great white water experience in the Himalayas.

A great opportunity for students to learn all the things that goes into being a river guide, while also improving their rafting, white water kayaking and canyoneering skills.

 

Students gain experience in all aspects of the running of an adventure camp, incl. hospitality, maintenance and accommodation, and join guided trips supporting and learning from our senior guides.

Alongside the traditional role, students have the change to choose a focus activity which they will improve their skills in. Taking action towards sustainability in the outdoors and working with the local community is a big part of the internship.

To make meaningful connection between academic studies and real life we work closely with the educational institutions our students come from. Many of the programs have been funded by Erasmus+ and other scholarships to enhance cross cultural collaboration.

University of Applied Sciences

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

DURATION:

3 weeks.

STARTING DATES:

25th February and

14th October 2024.

LOCATIONS:

The Royal Beach Camp & Kathmandu.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Passion for travel & sustainability.

  • Willingness to learn & share with others.

  • Preferably enrolled in, or graduate from, relevant subject studies.

  • Good physical health and swimming skills.

  • Minimum age 18 years.

FEES:

Accommodation, food and transportation in Nepal, internship leader and mentor, as well as, adventure activities such as rafting and white water kayaking and it's technical equipment, as per internship plan, is covered.

950 USD / person.
